Quick question to anyone
Quick question to anyone
When I'm not logged in, I don't see my avatar or text under my name or age.
Does anyone else see my avatar etc when not logged in, or not see your own? :? If someone could check, I'd be grateful :)

I don't see your avatar period, only your sigs.
If you can see it in your profile have you tried deleting it re submit your profile then add it again and submit once more?
Gary.

You have the choice, in your profile, to display the following:DJH@GB-Ro wrote:When I'm not logged in, I don't see my avatar or text under my name or age.

Personal Information (age, location, etc)
Avatar
Signature
Each can be set on or off (in Profiles Settings > Posting).
You also have a choice as to whether to display other peoples signatures or their avatars when reading forum posts (see Profiles Settings > Reading).
I don't think there's a choice as to whether to display other peoples personal information - if it's "available" it's displayed.
These assume you are logged on to the forum.
I'll need to check and see what the defaults are if you are logged off - I think the default is to display, if the owner allows it.
And I'm sure that the members personal preference (to display or not) takes priority over any general forum settings.
regards
Tim

Hmm. Strange.DJH@GB-Ro wrote:When I'm not logged in, I don't see my avatar or text under my name or age.

When I logged off, I couldn't see your avatar or info. But your sig was there.
Other forum members avatars, sigs and info were displayed....
I think maybe the forum database needs a "peek under the bonnet" to see what's going on here....
I'll ping Darren with a query on it....

Tim

Well, not quite - it's only been invisible to "guests" - other forum members can see it....DJH@GB-Ro wrote:Thanks Tim, so I've had an invisible avatar for ages :o
Can it be seen now? I couldn't find an actual 'show avatar' option, but just resubmitted my av.
Nope, guests can't see that either :oops:DJH@GB-Ro wrote:What about the text under my name? I don't see that while logged off

Click on "Profile"DJH@GB-Ro wrote:.... I couldn't find an actual 'show avatar' option, but just resubmitted my av.
then click on Profile (on the new page shown)
then click on "Profile Settings"
then click on "Posting"
then click on "Administration"
Click on the things you want to display...!
Do the same for the "Reading" bit to show/display other members avatars or sigs.

Tim

But, I don't have administration
Screenprint: CLICK HERE (sorry, quite wide due to dual monitor display, hence link rather than showing the image here)
