NEW NVIDIA A100 "Ampere" GPU

Post by UBT - Timbo »

Hi all

Just seen this press release on the new A100 GPU from NVidia.

The details are here:

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/05/1 ... idias_gpu/

If you fancy one, then it's fairly simple - just phone NVidia up and ask them to send you a Pro-Forma and a nice note for your bank manager which tells them exactly WHY you need to buy one...and why you need a nice cheap interest-free loan...

'cos, when you have 8 of these GPUs in a system, which comprises 320GB of RAM and is called a DGX A100, the system will cost you $199,000 !!

regards
Tim

Maybe you just need 32 of them?
