MILESTONE: Overtaken BOINC.BE
Didn't notice this last night on BOINCStats and concentrating on our stats (which are slightly out) but today I see we have actually overtaken BOINC.BE!
That takes us to 37 in the world.
We should be able to rise a further 4 places over the next couple of months. Might be 5 as AMD's output has dropped back down for now.
Well done everyone!

Hi Mike,UBT - Mikeejones wrote:Didn't notice this last night on BOINCStats and concentrating on our stats (which are slightly out) but today I see we have actually overtaken BOINC.BE!
I'm not so sure the BOINCstats are correct right now!
Check here:
http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/ubt-info.html
This is based not only on Darren's stats, but I also directly check those stats where the project is either not shown (ABC, Belgian Beer, TMRL), off-line (VTU), or where Darren's stats has got stuck (PrimeGrid for instance).
As such as noon today, I believe we are still about 40,708 credit short of overtaking BOINC.BE....and at a current "difference" in RAC of around 589 per hour (to our advantage), means we might not overtake for a couple more days....!
Also: Note that BOINCstats and BOINCsynergy both claim we've overtaken BOINC.BE, but in both cases the Total Credit shown for both teams is based on the XML's, and depending on which XML's were correctly exported (and which one's got missed) so it is possible for BOTH these stats sites to be working on incorrect figures.
BOINCstats: http://www.boincstats.com/stats/boinc_t ... pr=bo&st=0
BOINCsynergy: http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/boinc-teams.php
Both these sites compile their stats at different times of the day, so that's another reason why they can be both mis-leading and they do not concur with each other or the "real time" stats that is shown on our web stats page.
http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/index.php
Sorry to put a dampener on the celebrations.....and obviously, it's gonna happen pretty soon......in a couple of days I guess!
regards
Tim
PS If it's any consolation, for Recent Average Credit, we are:
#1 in UK: http://www.boincstats.com/stats/boinc_t ... gdom&or=18
and #22 in the World: http://www.boincstats.com/stats/boinc_t ... &co=&or=18

Hi David,UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:We have passed them our stats are wrong they do not include
ABC@home beta
TMRL DRTG
or upto date stats for
PrimeGrid
I have checked the stats from BOINstats & Synergy and they are both more correct than out catching pages and they do show the correct world positions
You are right - Darren's stats are slightly out - but I don't rely on them!
Please re-read what I said:
This is based not only on Darren's stats, but I also directly check those stats where the project is either not shown (ABC, Belgian Beer, TMRL), off-line (VTU), or where Darren's stats has got stuck (PrimeGrid for instance).
In other words, I've done a manual calculation (as I ALWAYS do) to see what's happening with our CURRENT credit total, as per the individual totals on EACH project...!
As such, I am correct...we are still in 38th place and BOINCstats/BOINCsysnergy and Darren's stats are all slightly out...!

Re: Overtaken BOINC.BE
It looks like (as of 9am this morning) we're now only 5,000 credits (approx) behind BOINC.BE.UBT - Mikeejones wrote:...I see we have actually overtaken BOINC.BE!

This takes into account the fact that our real-time stats do not include some projects where we (and BOINC.BE) have generated some credits, as well as the offline accounts, where I know approximately the credit total, but as they are offline, I cannot confirm the very latest total.
And our previous "closing rate" was approx 800 credits per hour, so maybe later today, we'll have passed BOINC.BE
And the GOOD NEWS is that we're right on the tail of "The Final Front Ear", so this week, we might be improving our World ranking by at least 2 places.
Afer thet, the next team (AMD Users) is around a million ahead of us and crunching at the same rate....so we might not pass them, but there are some other "stragglers" oproducing far less credit per day just ahead: so "SwissTeam.Net", "BOINC@Denmark" and "Amateur Radio Operators" beware - you're next on the list...!

At last!
Well done everyone (again).
Now check out this message from the forum in November last year. Was my crystal ball was spot on or what! :D
(Ignore the edit - it's the only way I can remember to get to an actual message - Tim's reply quotes it so I haven't fiddled the figures!)

Catching up stats fixed for now.
Hi all,
I refer you to here:
http://chase.ukboincteam.com/
and you'll see that most of the newer projects are now included and the PrimeGrid stats are now upto date....
You can all thank Darren for deploying his magic wand....!
And not including the Belgian Beer and TMRL stats, we're now just 6,579 credits behind BOINC.BE.
It doesn't change much when you take into account Belgian Beer and TMRL (still offline)...!
regards
Tim

Here's a copy of the relevant bit from Mike's posting on Thu Nov 16, 2006 9:32 pmUBT - Mikeejones wrote:At last! Check out this message! in the forum from November last year. Was my crystal ball was spot on or what! :D

Now, let's see 16th Nov + 8 weeks = well, ok, it's really nearer to nine calender weeks.....Just done some quick calculations and it seems that the next target would be BOINC.BE
At current rates we should pass them in about 7/8 weeks somewhere around the 44/45 million mark. Once we get there it should be fewer weeks to catch the next 4 teams. (Amateur Radio Operators, The Final Front Ear, BOINC@Denmark and SwissTeam.NET)
But the credits is about right...approaching 44.9 million right now...
Seems' Mike has a crystal ball...now if only he can tell us all the winning lottery numbers for the next, say, 7/8 weeks...!

Re: Catching up stats fixed for now.
As at midnight on 16th going on 17th Jan, we were approx 10,000 credits ahead of BOINC.BE....! (we had 44,909,824.81, compared to their 44,899,525.14 !)UBT - Timbo wrote:...And not including the Belgian Beer and TMRL stats, we're now just 6,579 credits behind BOINC.BE
Of course we might slip back a little, depending on Einstein and how up to date the stats are concerning that project.....so fingers crossed by morning, there should be somethig to celebrate about...!
OK - so now we're 37th in the World....let's go after 36th...

Tim

Well at least that's the last of the big projects to move over. Just bits & pieces left over (I think)
