It seems to be creating issues on new install's, be Windows or BOINC, across Hosts.
It has caused issues with Auth on BOINC manager:
Solution given by BOINC support did not fix the issue:When you click: add project or add project manager, it says:
The password you have entered is incorrect, please try again.
The message box window is called: BOINC Manager - Connection Error.
This is happening BEFORE you even get a chance to enter anything.
BOINC manager installed was the latest version from this website.
GRCPool admin has had the same issues, as well as others on BOINC forum:Navigate to the BOINC data directory, default at c:\programdata\boinc, and remove gui_rpc_auth.cfg, then exit and restart BOINC
And now the stupid Windows update has caused problems with with NVidia drivers installs. Before the update 3x 1080 Ti working fine. After the update 1 of 3 has no CUDA support and hence cannot be used.I have had similar sounding problems on windows regarding the boinc auth. Linux works much better.
Tried everything (but below) and just going round in circles!
Mark, didn't you have an issue with one of your GPUs having CUDA missing? If so how did you fix it..?
I read that perhaps using DDU after booting into safe mode and removing all GPU drivers may fix it.. I had never come across DDU before but many people are saying it resolved their issues..
