Gridcoin Finance Project

Post by UBT - Timbo »

Hi all,

Another new project has appeared:

http://finance.gridcoin.us/finance/index.php

You can add it to your BOINC Manager by entering this URL in your "Add Projects" tab:

Code: Select all

http://finance.gridcoin.us/finance
I've set up a team, so feel free to join if you want :)

http://finance.gridcoin.us/finance/team ... teamid=321

regards
Tim

edit: There are issues with the 32 bit app, so it looks like only 64-bit O/S will get work right now.

Hi Kieron,

I know very little about this project - and I'm guessing that it's a bit like Bitcoin Utopia, but using CPU to mine Gridcoins, instead of Bitcoins. I don't know how any Gridcoins are distributed after they are crunched...so, maybe they come to the member or go into a centralised pool?

Either way, it's another project which some may choose to support.

Note also, that there are no 32 bit WU's for now...but that should change in due course.

edit: Just seen you've signed up and have credit already - well done :) (that's what happens when you have a new OS, as opposed to diehards like me who still use WIn XP Pro !!)

regards
Tim
