Does a "progress rate" value indicate that a trickle has been done?

No, progress rate is just how far it's got though the task in a fixed time (per hour in this case, per minute for shorter tasks)

All my tasks have a Progress rate even those that don't send trickles or have the network disabled.

Okay thanks, that make sense. Its the first time I have looked at the properties window so I wasn't sure.

What made me think there might be some connection was the fact that the first task hasn't generated a progress rate even though it has done 2.3% of the task and it was only just over a minute since the last checkpoint.

No worries.

Looks like the tasks are set to give a progress rate per hour and no progress rate may be because the first task has been running for less than an hour since the last checkpoint?

I don't know really, it's not normally something I look at.

I am not sure either, I think the progress rate is maybe only generated after a given % has completed.
I guess I will just wait the 10-30 days for the tasks to finish!
