Post by UBT - Mikee »

Hi

Not a true reflection of the numbers but according to BOINCStats we now have over 5,000 members, 584 of whom are active (11.67%).

https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/team/detail/214

As a comparison TSBT have a better percentage 1010 members, 124 active (12.27%)
Surprisingly, BOINCUK percentage is better 1254 members, 256 active (20.41%)
OCUK a lot worse, 2094 members, 159 active (7.59%)

Having a look at the rest of the Top 10 in the UK
5th is Team Cornwall (active) 28 members, 1 active (3.57%)
6th is Team England (Boinc) 570 members, 58 active (10.17)
7th is Scotland 282 members, 35 active (12.41)
8th is Outer Marker 2 members, 0 active (0%)
9th is Radio Caroline 6 members, 2 acive (33%)
10th is PC Format 239 members, 16 active (3.69%)

3 members from BOINCUK have joined us in the last month - so welcome to them and the rest are welcome as well.

Come and say hello!

Mike

Hi Mikee

UBTstats website shows we have 5,759 members who have earned at least 1 credit...and there could be a lot more who never even got to 1 point...

Having said that, there are some things to consider:

1) Johns webstats cannot take into account members who have more than 1 Cross-Project ID...so there are some members whose credits on different projects have not been summed together and hence they could appear as 2, 3, even 4 or more separate accounts.
2) Some projects have shut down and hence their member database cannot be accessed or indeed can be updated if members change email addresses.
3) Some newer projects are now active and UBTstats hasn't been updated to take them into account.

Even so, it's still good to know that we have got lots of people to join UBT, even if they haven't stayed the course !!

regards
Tim
