Its just the Allen Telescope Array, knock on effects to the SETI world of course, but not catastrophic.

Q&A on Allen Telescope Array and SETI Implications

Personally, I always thought Seti was a huge waste of computer time.
If they had changed frequency from time to time instead of just using the hydrogen frequency all the time, I think it would have made more sense.

Let`s hope the aliens aren`t too put out.  :alien:

You might be about to get your wish, Rick. Just under 100 planets discovered within the Goldilocks zone of their respective systems are to be the subject of an upcoming Seti analysis, apparently - and this time the search will take in 8 billion channels each of less than 1hz, covering the entire 800Mhz bandwidth of the Green Bank telescope.

Maybe there's hope for ET yet.  :D

Sounds good! As to 8 billion channels, sounds like American TV.  :D
