Sounds like there may be a file missing as well in your BOINC folder, best thing to do is suspend all new work to the project, let BOINC crunch what you have got make sure the work is uploaded and out of your work queue, detach from SETI & then attach again, this will clear out all the files and re-download everything it needs to work correctly

Cor - you're lucky - I got 12.54 (or less !!):
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit ... d=76426452
So, you should try some SETI BETA WU's:
How's about 133.48 credits per WU?
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/wo ... uid=167817
Or even 220.07 credits per WU:

(Waiting for my SE cache to run out so I can install crunch3r's new opti-client for SE....!) :D

Hi David,UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:The guy on BETA with the Linux is a tester of the optimised enhanced apps hence his quicker times than the others
As the resident "fountain of knowledge" can you offer an opinion on this:
Running BOINC v5.2.13 and had crunch3r's SETI-opti app running.
Drained cache, since SE was being downloaded by others...!.
So now have NO SETI (4.1eight) WU's.
So, detached SETI, which caused a download of the SE application.
Did not download any work, as I suspended as soon as the app and support files downloaded.
Have now got crunch3r's latest opti-SE app.
Copied into correct project directory, but now get:
07/05/2006 19:01:29|SETI@home|app_version refers to nonexistent file: setiathome_4.11_windows_intelx86.exe
07/05/2006 19:01:29|SETI@home|Can't link app version in state file
So, somehow BONC still thinks I#'ve got the earlier SETI app installed..
very strange...
any thoughts...??
regards,
Tim

there shouldn't be any old files in there, when you detach from a project BOINC clears all the files for that project out, so when you attach back to a project it will download the latest filesTemujin wrote:I would guess you still have the old app_info.xml in your projects directoryUBT - Timbo wrote:So, somehow BONC still thinks I#'ve got the earlier SETI app installed..
Where I think the master has gone wrong is he needs to do this
Got to remember that SETI is still classed as 4.18 WU's, the enhanced ones are gradually been filtered in and until then you need to have both files in there for both optimisations and for both types of WU's, I reckon Timbo has gotten rid of a file needed when he was messing with Enhanced optimisation app
