HI Mike

Thanks for the heads-up...I''ll put some of my hosts onto it.

Can't do much about using my Linux host though, as Gerasim doesn't support Linux.

regards
Tim

Actually at that point we'd only just passed them.

Looks a bit more healthy now.

Mark

Any comments on the ODLS work units? I have a load of units that are not completing. Taking hours to get to, 99.9x percent and just never seem to complete. Is any one else getting this. I see some WU timeout as invalid. Only seems to be on my main rig the 7920x with 95% of core in use( I allow one per per gpu ). Any ideas what may be causing this?

Hi Neil,

Sorry, I'm only doing the test separator tasks as they gave the same points per second but run for longer so less time lost loading, unloading and reporting.

Maybe Carl has seen it, he's running ODLS tasks as well?

The test separator tasks run fairly consistent on my hosts, still have invalids though but they're all "Finish file present too long" which is a known problem with Boinc on high processor count hosts (the file doesn't get cleared from the disc in time as there are a lot of tasks reading/writing to the disc and slowing it down)

I have aborted all my ODLS workunits on all my hosts and set project preferences to spstarter and test separator. all running fine now on main rig. about 15 - 20 minutes each task with a few that are much shorter. does that sound about right. just passed 1M credits. go me.

That sounds about right, I think the times are almost purely down to clock speeds, no advanced instructions used.

Well done on the million :)

I didn't deselect any tasks in project preferences. I was getting all spstarter and test separator tasks before but now I see I'm loaded up on ODLS BS tasks. I just deselected them in project preferences just now.

I only show 4 invalids right now and none of them were ODLS BS tasks.
All 30918
On computers 253
Valid 30364
Invalid 4
To late 0
Waiting quorum validation 297
I have some validated ODLS BS tasks but they take forever to run and the points suck so I'm done with them. Back to the shorter tasks. I am letting the ODLS BS tasks already running to finish. I just aborted the tasks that didn't start yet.
