Seems the upload/download server is disabled so no ones getting any at the moment. Probably just needs a good kicking (or booting)!

Thanks for that, first time in months there were still some left when I got there, bagged 90 or so, looks like a 20 a day cpu limit.

From LHC website

"As you will have seen there were ~20,000 WUs up for grabs earlier today and they are now all gone. We hope everyone got some as they were around for a few hours, this is hopefully (but no guarantees) the start of similar batches appearing more regularly."

BOINC.BE got 290,672 credits in this and retook 30th place. Which is a bit of a bu**er as their RAC is very similar to ours.

How come they get so many credits in 1 day then?

It is credit from the Belgian MoOo Farm, they united some time ago but still have over a million credits to transfer if they can get the projects to do it.

Looks like things are getting moving over there--From the LHC website

"LHC@home moved to the UK a few months ago, and despite a few initial teething problems, the scientists are very happy with the service being provided by us and by you. There will be more work coming from SixTrack in the near future and until the LHC starts up sometime in 2008. Indeed, even after it turns on there will be a demand to keep modeling its behavior and comparing with reality.

We have also been in talks with two different groups involved in the LHC experiments about porting their work to BOINC so it can be run under the LHC@home banner. One you may have heard about is Garfield which has been in the pipeline for a while but is now very close to running on LHC@home (the more eagle-eyed volunteers will have seen it is installed and on the Applications page). The other is simulating particle collisions for the ATLAS experiment, one of the four major LHC experiments. This is a good deal more ambitious, and will probably take a while before it is released to volunteers, but we are getting a lot of interest from the CPU-hungry physicists at ATLAS for this.

All of these factors combined mean that we have decided to officially launch LHC@home in the UK today in a press release. We hope that this brings in some new volunteers and that you welcome them to the community. I know there are some issues to be addressed on the server and Alex and I are working hard on this, but we are happy that the most important aspect of the project is working, namely that jobs are getting processed and the scientists are getting their science done. Thanks to many of you for helping us learn how to manage a volunteer computing experiment, and looking forward to fun times ahead!

Thanks for sticking around,
Neasan."

I have LHC on my Boinc for a while now and no WU as yet, I removed it from my Boinc and tried to re-add it and it informed me that it could not connect to LHC.

Is there another way I can add it back on to Boinc?

cheers

There has been no work for LHC@Home for months. There is now Test4Theory in it`s place, but you will need to download a "virtual box", and apply for an invitation code.

Details can be seen here.

There is LHC work but you will probably need to detach and reattach to the project

September 16, 2011, 22:30 GMT
Added Server Status link from this page
Detach and attach again if you have problems
September 15, 2011, 15:30 GMT
Please detach from the project and attach again to the project URL on this page if you get scheduler errors. By mistake, a reference to our old server had been cached on the Boinc client side, and therefore it may be necessary to re-initialise clients following a server move at CERN. Sorry for this glitch.
Long Live LHC!

RESTART OF OPERATION @ CERN
Announcement
August 23, 2011, 11:50 GMT
Move the activity LHC@HOME to CERN

You need the address below to attach to the project (not the one that comes up in the list on Boinc Manager)

They seemed to have resolved the need to re-attach?  I haven't done so and I suddenly got a handful of SixTrack WUs...
