New Project?
Not listed in BAM atm.
Ibercivis
The Institute for Biocomputing and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI) of the University of Zaragoza, CSIC, CIEMAT and RedIRIS have collaborated on this platform. The first three are part of the Foundation's board of trustees, established in 2011, together with the Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Zaragoza City of Knowledge Foundation and the Government of Aragon.
For further information, an informative document has been prepared on the SARS-CoV-2 virus, its reproduction mechanism and the scientific approach of the project.

Looks interesting. I wasn't able to sign up though - "Invalid email address: please enter a valid address of the form name@xxx.yyy" on the website and no dice signing up directly from BOINC Manager.

This is actually an OLD project...it never did much in it's earlier incarnation...though I'm sure the researchers got some good data from it "back then". (If our old ubtstats website was still working, one could see the credits earned as they were listed - but that's gone now

(Have a peek at this: viewtopic.php?f=73&t=3676&p=38401&hilit ... vis#p38401 )
or just type "ibercivis" in the search box at the top right - there's plenty of posts to read !!
I've just done some digging around on BOINCstats:
We were 118th in the world:
https://classic.boincstats.com/en/stats ... /0/100#118
and here's the "old" team member stats:
https://classic.boincstats.com/en/stats ... st/0/0/5/0
---
But it seems the project name has been brought back to life...and any "old" memberships and teams have been purged.
see this thread: https://boinc.ibercivis.es/ibercivis/fo ... hp?id=4#20
---
I've re-registered and have created a team, if anyone is interested:
https://boinc.ibercivis.es/ibercivis/te ... ?teamid=45

I've just re-registered (using BOINC Manager) and it worked fine. I looked at their message board and some people have had issues, but I'm guessing they are sorting those out.
If you try the route Chris suggested - use the link in the "Add project" tab of BOINC Manager and see if that works?

Re: New Project?
Someone posted the URL on Reddit as a new Covid project so I thought Id post it here just in case it was a new project.

Hi
I have had a few COVID WUs from here but they have all failed - either failed during download or have been cancelled by server for too many errors from wingmen.
Effectively this is still a BETA project - expect this while they sort things out.

Same here...I had some issues (got tasks, but no apps to crunch them !!) and posted in their message board here:
https://boinc.ibercivis.es/ibercivis/fo ... &postid=81
...and the admin (Fran) replied within about 20 minutes.
Project apps now downloaded and waiting to see if the tasks complete OK.

I've signed up a couple of hosts, can't have that Timbo bloke getting points in another project I'm not crunching.Damien Healy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 9:53 amLooks interesting. Also reported to have issues with older versions of Boinc.
The 7.6 Boinc won't get any work
The 7.10 is happily crunching away.26/04/2020 11:07:35 | ibercivis | update requested by user

Hi
Seems to be working now. Mine is taking around 2.5 hoursish(!) for around 100 credits. CPU only.

Re: New Project?
Same here Mikee.
Some faster, some slower but the credits scale accordingly.
Out of work now though and only three left in the cache

Re: New Project?
HI
Lots of WUs available now. I think I had a couple of hang-ups which I aborted at 10% - they'd been going 2.5 hours with no sign of progress. I've currently got one that seems to be stuck after 6.5 hours at 40% - I'll let it run overnight.

Re: New Project?
Grabbed some myself.
Progress seems to jump in 10% steps, mine are all at exactly 40% after 4:45 hours.
