Ralph 5.25 beta and the fortcoming Crunch

Post by RodEllery »

I'd be very wary of including ralph in the Crunch.

I've just had about 10 WUs that crash within a minute with a display from the MS Visual C runtime telling me the application requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

The problem is this display contains an OK button that must be clicked before any further WUs are processed. Not very good for unattended Crunchathons.

The app will probably change before then RALPH has a habit of getting rid of glitches pretty quickly, still not decided which one I'm going to do yet

Been running RALPH all day today and not had a single error reported back, now switched over to Rosetta as that is what I'm going to do for the crunch week

Yes, I.ve had some successful Ralph WUs through today.

Will be running Rosetta at 100 and Ralph at 20 for the week.

Since the Crunch doesn't start till midnight Sun/Mon I'm just hoping that the Rectilinear WU I've had going for 26 hours so far will complete before then. Just got that running on one m/c and a few Xtreme WUs on another to finish up over the weekend.
