Hi Mike

That is pretty scary...though one wonders what they do to sort out the plastics, paper and metals after being crushed?

The steel can be picked up by a magnet, but other metals might be trickier?

Bit better than our office shredder that jams if you put more than two pieces of paper through in one go!

Hi Mark

I found out recently, that the reason why paper jams up in shredders is that when new, there is some oil on the "cutters", which over time either dries out, or it sticks to the cut paper and is lost (along with all the shredded paper).

Apparently, you can get some "shredder oil" that re-lubricates the cutters and stops the jams ;-)
