Anything "BOINC" specific can be commented on here...such as Project news and announcements etc. Also: any problems with BOINC or maybe you have found something interesting, tell us about it. Chat about the various 3rd party client applications used for some of the projects such as optimised clients.

A new project has sprung up in the last month here:

Guess I won't be number one in the team for long then, thanks Tim! :D

Yet another project searching for prime numbers.

CPU based, about 6-7 hours on a 3.6 GHz machine for 220-250 credits.

Not demanding, CPU runs cool with little disc/network/RAM used.

Seems to always have work available.

Project owner seems responsive and listens/replies.

I know this post is old, just clicked the link and its not working, is this one still running or is it gone?
Just being nosey at the different types of projects that are running.

Hi Rachael

BOINCstats website is showing the beefathome project to be "retired", so one can assume it has either shut down or it is simply offline for technical or other reasons.
