Unless your running the Lunatics linux version, where they normally recompile their app (after a couple of weeks) using the latest code base.

What's different? I thought they just had the SETI app.

The boinc.7z version (anonymous platform) of BOINC was created in order to have the optimised version of SETI apps inbuilt into the Manager.

I continue to use it (even though SETI is no longer) as it keeps all of BOINC files within the unpacked directory, therefore making it very easy to find any BOINC files (such as cc_config etc) within Linux. It also means you don't have to use Ubuntu or Mint, etc repositories for the BOINC install.

In terms of updating BOINC Manager via the latest code base, I just know that after the last BOINC Manager update when I checked the URL above I noticed that boinc.7z (which is the all in one BOINC manager app) had been updated.
