Hi all

I just found this news item that is interesting:

And it describes a mathematical question which has used BOINC to find a solution...

So, I've registered at their website:

https://www.charityengine.com

and hopefully I can add this to BOINC Manager - I've registered already but it failed when I tried to add it via the suggested route of "Add to Account Manager".

Hi all

I've just seen that CharityEngine is not currently accepting new accounts.

So, that could be why trying to add via BM has failed.

Apparently, they do act as an Account manager, and THEY determine which BOINC projects to add to their range. I've seen posts that they allow Rosetta, Cosmology and Climate Prediction projects (and there may be more).

I also cannot see anyway of adding a UBT Team...so, they could just be using a customised BOINC Manager and allowing members to earn money that can be given to various charities.

So, it might be quite a different "beast" to normal BOINC projects and perhaps it operates along the lines of BitcoinUtopia and GridCoin?
