Hi

After a long hiatus, Acoustics is back online - get 'em while they're hot as they contribute to FormulaBoinc as well (once they reach 2 million).

Link as above.

Hi Mikee

Thanks for the heads up on this projects "status".

The downside for me is that they have used the BOINC Wide database, in order to populate existing teams into their own database...and this includes the founders of the teams too...

However, due to them not having bought an SSL certificate, so they cannot send me an email to advise me as to what password I can use in order to access my "founders" account...and despite me requesting a "password reset", none has been forthcoming. And it's been like this for a while now. :-(

I've emailed the project admin, Oleg Zaikin, but he hasn't fixed this yet :-(

Tim

Hi

Would a 'Team foundership change' request help? Then I could transfer it back, you may have to remove yourself from the team and create a new account if you don't know the password, but that might not work as it may say you can't have a duplicate account - just thinking aloud...

I'm having a lot of probe with this project. All the downloads are barfing and nothing is processing. I've disabled it at the moment and I'll give it another try tomorrow.

Chris.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the input.

I would suggest you do the "TF" Request anyway - as I cannot get access to my account on there anyways. I can't remove myself or do anything else either... :-( It'll take the usual time to transfer of course as I cannot "authorise" the transfer !!

And if "one day" their admin does actually do something to sort out my account then, if needs be, it can be transferred back, though that isn't absolutely necessary.

Tim

Hi

OK - done that. You should get an email and PM (maybe not)!

On the up side Acoustics blasted through the 2 million barrier and is now counting at FormulaBoinc currently a lowly 9th with 2 points.

Work generation is temporarily disabled

Due to some errors which happen on several hosts, work generation was temporarily disabled. It will be relaunched in a few days, after fixing the application. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Hi all

I've now got my Acoustics@home account sorted out...it's taken a year or so but I now have access to my Acoustics@home account.

For me, personally, this is a "personal" fave project for me as I've been involved in the "audio" industry since the late 1970s...so I'm keen to get some BOINC credits on the board as well as earn some FB points so we can get in the Top 10 at least.

Tasks don't take too long and earn 42 credits each, so, it'll be a long slog to get into a FB points scoring position this year.

And hopefully, they'll develop a GPU app too :-)

Tim
