Finally I get a proper mining mobo

Having problems installing that new stick of memory? Found some great software or having issues with something? Or maybe want to chat about your PlayStation, X-Box, Nintendo, Sega, even your old Spectrum 48k....! Or maybe something you want to sell or acquire (computing related of course!). Let us know here...

Finally I get a proper mining mobo

You can tell its a mining mobo as it has the word: BTC, which stands for Bitcoin!

These mobo offers 6 PCIE slots to run six GPUs, on socket LGA 1150 (i7-4790)

Hi Chris

For a recent mobo, I'm surprised to see that it has a serial port and a 25 pin parallel port...I thought those had been consigned to the "old tech" junk pile...!!

Yeah it is a bit strange especially the parallel port; perhaps they own shares in a company that still makes and sells dot matrix printers!

Just to update about this mobo, it worked fine until Windows did a mandatory update at which point it knocked out CUDA. So in the end had to RMA/Return it back to Amazon.

I think the Russians had a better idea - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-43003740
The suspects had tried to use one of Russia's most powerful supercomputers to mine Bitcoins
