Nice easy viewer to see where the ISS is currently.

http://iss.astroviewer.net/index.php

Click the 'Observation' tab and put in your approximate location and finds out when it passes over you. A bit inconsiderate at the moment as it passes over at around 4 in the morning at the moment. It passes over at a more reasonable time early August.

http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sighting ... fGjNm09Ugk is a better site for timings.

Good find.

It was visible around 00:30 and high in the sky several weeks ago, it was mentioned on radio 5live just before it came over so no time to get ready for it - to the naked eye it was still a fair size, bright and moving across the sky quite quickly.

Hi all,

I've got the Android app called "ISS Detector" which lists the time(s) when the ISS can be seen in your specific location - and for the following week or so too.

Very handy :-)

regards
Tim

You can sign up with NASA to receive notifications of when the ISS will be visible to you, sign up at https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/signup.cfm and find your location, the notifications can come through by email, thats how I get mine :D
