Re: Hello!

Hi Boldy, Don'y worry, we all started off with no Boinc experience :handgestures-thumbup: Ah, another cruncher from Yorkshire, we'll soon be taking over the forum! (There's a few of us about!) There's a list of Boinc projects at https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Project_list although the descriptions ...

Hi Tim,

I'll take one if it's going spare.

If you get a better offer at the meeting then no problem.

Re: People losing credits?

Hi Tim,

You're right, Willy might be a better bet :)

I don't know what would happen under those circumstances. Same as you, I assume your history would have vanished off Boincstats and you would then reappear as a new user with a very healthy one day contribution?

Re: People losing credits?

If active members update their preferences, on the specific project websites, then they will get their credits back (on the stats websites) . Hi Tim, Not necessarily, from Boincstats - If you do not do so your data will be removed from the export and in accordance with the GDPR all your data from t...

Re: People losing credits?

I blame the EU :D - https://boincstats.com/en/forum/8/12112 I think you'll find they're members who don't crunch any more. With the GDPR coming in to effect on some projects (eventually all of them) members have to actively log in to the individual project and allow their data to be used (a couple o...

Re: No GPUGrid work units

Hi Rich, Not a project I'm currently running so i don't know if they're having problems. There were a couple of posts on their forum yesterday complaining about no work but now the server lists "ready to send" as 201,965 and it's going down very slowly so there's probably work available and being se...

Re: User stats and GDPR

NumberFields has also succumbed to the GDPR "bug" and you'll need to authorise them to export your data. Apparently it's been added to the latest Boinc server code as a default so expect every project to follow suit eventually as they "upgrade". Slightly connected, ClimatePrediction are deleting acc...

Mmmm, it will. (I thought double "Z" was banned, but I'm willing to give it a go, no one else is going to argue, are they?)
Only mentioned explicitly in the five letter version as far as I'm aware :D
