Re: Gaia@home

Hi

Not been able to get any! IIRC when a project started (in the old days at least) they used to test server and resilience by sending very short dummy tasks for maybe a few weeks before dropping usable tasks. Perhaps this what's happening now?

Re: Nvidia 3xxx possible specs.

Hi

Nice find! https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-gefo ... d-pictured has to be the ugliest GPU I've ever seen! Imagine trying to clean out the dust bunnies on that - plenty to hold onto I suppose as it's so wide!

Blast from UBT past

Hi Just saw we passed 80 billion. http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/newforum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6685 Thought some members might remember (all 4 of us!) others will see what our original effort at creating a table to see how we're doing. Re: Formula BOINC Sprint #10

Hi We're doing better than expected as there aren't too many work units available - but all teams are in the same boat. There seems to have been a lot more WUs issued in the last 24 hours and there are currently showing nearly 30,000 available now. We're at 6th at the moment and appear to be chasing...

Re: QuChem prob

Hi Mike I'll put my 2 pennorth in and see if this makes any sense. In my QuChem project folder, I have the exact same XML file contents as you...so that seems to be "standard" and not dependant on individual hosts or configurations. I'm guessing that the "<memory_size_mb>1900</memory_size_mb>" sett...

Re: QuChem prob

Hi

Mine doesn't show max threads - just max CPUs. Everything is showing selected or 'no limit' - 100% resource share. All current tasks are t1 type.

QuChem prob

Hi Having another go at QuChem. Last time they all aborted after a few seconds. They're running now but I have a wee problem! Despite running at 100% I can only get 7 running at a time. If it was 8 I could understand that it was looking at 8 cores even though I've got 'hyper-threading' on. If I allo...
