Unless your running the Lunatics linux version, where they normally recompile their app (after a couple of weeks) using the latest code base.
What's different? I thought they just had the SETI app.

Starting to get tiny credit for the tiny tasks I did. Average 0.02 credits each. I have a total of 9 points so far.

Someone from the project just confirmed these are test tasks for the server.

FYI, I did get WUProp hours for my effort so far. 24_Gaia@home 60.67

Re: Nvidia 3xxx possible specs.

TDP really depends on the project your running. I don't see my GPUs maxing out on TDP doing BOINC projects. If a 3080 does compute a ton faster than the older GPUs a small difference in TDP doesn't amount to much. Besides, I crank down the voltage/power to my GPUs to save some power. Power Limit in ...

Maybe these are just test tasks to see if the server can hold up. This has to be hammering the server quite a bit. I hate this project already. It literally takes longer to download/upload the tasks than it takes to run them. I don't know what these guys running the project are smoking but I want some. :banghead:

Re: Gaia@home

Gaia@home is sending out tasks now. Tasks only run a few seconds. This is not a good project for my currently shitty internet. I've done thousands of these tiny tasks so far and none have been validated yet so I have no clue what the credits will be. State: All (5588) · In progress (397) · Validatio...

Re: Why Linux p*$$e$ me off....

I use BAM on all my computers. If you had BAM set up you could change BOINC settings through their website and wouldn't even need BM on the host. The password you need to use with localhost is in the BOINC folder in the gui_rpc_auth.cfg file.
