ahh you are quite right. just checked the gpu config file and its a blank notepad file. reloaded and all is well with the world again back down to around 4 minutes per work unit.

have these changed. my app_config and gpu config files havent changed but my collatz work units now take 8 minutes to do as opposed to 4 minutes. strange. the timings are all over the place 100 seconds 300 seconds 400 seconds 800 seconds average 521 seconds (8.5 mins). credit has increased to an ave...

Some of the TRX40 boards are XLATX size as well. The new GIGABYTE TRX40 AORUS XTREME is a whopping £900 and massive. Big case needed for that piece of kit. I think perhaps in retrospect the AMD route is simpler and more efficient than dual Xeon. The 32c64t system should be about £6k so i better star...

mark, thanks for looking into this. i am fastidious when it comes to drivers. Updated BIOS last week and the the new Nvdia driver always downloads as i have the GeForce Experience app check once a day for new Nvidia drivers so they are always up to date. the gpu_config.xml annd app_config.xml files ...

well now funny you should notice that. my RPi cluster has needed a major distro upgrade from last summer. it was basically put in the wardrobe along with the 24 port switch, the laptop, the i7 system, the i3 system and a bridge for all my lights. put away and forgot about. now that we arent doing a ...
