Re: ARM, Nvidia, Softbank, & OneWeb.

Yeah I guess your right actually, £500M (for part ownership of OneWeb) is quite a difference from $40B :? Also I just read a report from BusinessWeekly, which is pretty much rooted in Silcon Fen, and they are quoting that Nvida is now saying they are going to not only Keep ARM HQ in Cambridge, but a...

Re: ARM, Nvidia, Softbank, & OneWeb.

Enterprise Act Dominic Cummings, the chief advisor to U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, emailed civil servants this week to confirm he is looking at ways to build $1 trillion U.K. tech firms, according to Business Insider. Referring to DeepMind, Cummings wrote on his blog last March that the U.K. ...

Re: 24 hour outage

The other projects normally tend to give out constant work; given any current pr...

Re: 24 hour outage

There seems to be quite a few beta SCC tasks atm, when I last checked I had 35 pages (520 tasks) sitting pending verification so I guess these will continue after the outage.

Re: NEW BOINC Manager version 7.16.11

The boinc.7z version (anonymous platform) of BOINC was created in order to have the optimised version of SETI apps inbuilt into the Manager. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Anonymous_platform I continue to use it (even though SETI is no longer) as it keeps all of BOINC files within the unpacked dire...

Re: 24 hour outage

Update 2: While our server maintenance is going on, our tech team has decided to do another update that will take down our website/forum for approximately 30 minutes. This will save us from having another planned outage in the near future. Thanks to everyone for your patience. https://twitter.com/W...

Re: Photos: City of London & Canary/Wood Wharf

Tim can you change the title of this post to: "Photos: City of London & Canary/Wood Wharf"?

I changed it myself, but for some reason on the home page its got the old title. "City of London Photos (23)".

Thanks

Re: Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network

Personally I think he should have changed it to 1,000 years WCG research; all projects are as valid, especially if you are going to include some non-cancer projects but not others. If you look back at the website even further I am pretty sure he initially asked for 500 years "Cancer" research, and w...
