4th Weekend Crunch

Stats:
Initial Total XL Project Credits (as at 00:01 24th June): 28,539.76
Final Total XL Project Credits (as at 23:59 25th June): 36,842.15

That's 8,302.39 credits in just 48 hours....not bad, eh?

Just in case you missed the announcement on our Forum, our 4th Weekend Crunch is taking place on the weekend of 24th-25th June 2006.

As voted for in our Forum, the chosen project will be XtremLab (XL), a project created in order to improve the way that BOINC works.

Fortunately, the XL WU's are very short - taking only 10 minutes to complete each one. So, everyone participating in this Crunch, has the chance to complete 288 WU's per CPU (as there's 2880 minutes in 48 hours...)
However, please take note: This project does NOT support Windows 9x or Windows ME, so if you use either of these operating systems, please DO NOT join the project as any work you download will be returned as an error.

But if you are running Win 2K, NT or XP or a Linux system, then please join this project.
All you then have to do, is to make sure you are already a member of the XtremLab project. (You can join up here)
Then set all your other projects to "No new work" as well as "suspending" them from actually doing any crunching during the week-end.
Thirdly, set the chosen project as the only one able to download new work.
Finally, after the "Crunch is over, you can switch each of the other projects back to "Allow new work" and "Resume".

In future months, we'll be featuring other projects.
